Delectus 2006 Cuvee Julia Red Wine Blend

Displays fragrances of cedar, dark chocolate (at least 75% cocoa), maraschino cherry, mocha, and crushed rock mineral components. The mouth is dense yet smooth, completely packed, slowly moves through the palate in waves. Saturated tannins and an enticing finish leaves one begging for more.

"This offers wonderful richness and purity of fruit, with tiers of ripe currant, black cherry, plum and wild berry fruit that's full-bodied, well-defined, complex, concentrated and persistent. "The moment that Julia finished this painting, we knew that it would become the label for our 2006 vintage of Cuvée Julia. This is Julia’s portrayal of the Delectus Ranch, rugged, mountainous, and studded with trees (the vineyards had not been planted yet). Mount St. Helena decorates the background with its tower on top, which holds the flashing red aviation clearance light that has been named “Roxanne” by the Reisacher family."
