Domaine Carneros Taittinger Blanc de Noir

Made from 100% Pinot Noir and pale golden in appearance, our Blanc de Noir is produced in the classic style. With luscious aromas of honey and pears, this elegant wine is refreshing, complex and round on the palate.

Two decades ago, we created our first Blanc de Noir - a classic pale golden or white sparkling wine made from 'black' Pinot Noir grapes – ignoring the classic companionship of Chardonnay. We made very few cases, but those who had the pleasure to taste it did not stop longing for its return. Our second Blanc de Noir hailed from the 2006 vintage. Again, with just a few cases produced, fans were left eagerly awaiting the next encore.

In 2009, we found the third Pinot Noir cuvée worthy of its own bottling. This singular wine showcases luscious aromas of honey, baked pear, toasted pie crust and lime zest. It is elegant and complex, round on the palate, and slightly softer than most sparkling wines.
